hey you |
there are three forums that are perfect
for you!! lessons, theory and recording..
you should start with theory and lesson,
reading each one from start to finish..
find where you are now in terms of your
instruments and theory - music reading
levels are at.. start in which ever lessons
there covers what you need to review,
then what you need to start working on
to be able to carry your music to the
next level!!
The gang here has worked very hard
on those forums. From what I have
read in them, there is everything in them
to take a person who doesn't know the
first stitch of music and carry them through
to intermediate levels in the main three
areas a person needs to know.. So use them!!
every song has a tiny resemblance of a melody
or lead line that makes it a song... may not be
harmonic necessarily, but it's there.. depending
on how it's played on which ever instrument
you choose, you will find a basic chord progession.
it may be broken chords as I ended up getting
very lazy with my piano, so now for left hand
bass and accompaniment I use just that.. broken
chords, latent arpeggios and octaves with fifths..
which is what almost every bass player starts
learning from the beginning... ok just tryin to
help!
