From what I understand, it's automated, not hand-selected.  Probably has a heavy consideration given to the views/plays of a given song.

no, voting works, i'm pretty sure.  it's just that nobody does it :P  (though... the battles aren't happening right, due to the lack of a floor quantity of votes.  the voting itself isn't flawed)

sounds like an EBKAC to me (error between keyboard and chair ) ... the users have to vote for things before the magic happens

not that it matter very much but In the octobers battle my song had 15 votes it appears but still no result in the end
I don't care much myself because I think the comments you get are the reward and music is not a competition
As for the house mix the playlist doesn't seem to change very often though maybe a monthly housemix would be a good idea so you could get a snap shot of what's hot on the Amp at the moment
Just a thought
