I've just got into Torrents or whatever they're known as, does anyone out there in happy bandAmp land know any good Bit Torrent download sites or search engines or something?
Or should I just go out there and download from anywhere, that it's all cool! 

Piratebay ( thepiratebay.org ) is the best known one.
There is another that I can't remember the name of which I think is better, I'll try and chase that up for you.

What I do (when I do it, which is sporadically, and never to find pirated copyrighted material that you'd otherwise have to pay for - I mean, that would be stealing, right () ) is simply google search "[whateveritisiwant]+torrent" and check for whatever links show up. If these links look like any of the three mentioned sites I'll probably get what I'm looking for. I thought www.torrentz.com was good too.

So there's enough cool/safe sites around.
PX, Hmm! Funny how.......these things seam to happen.
I did just that this afternoon, "[whateveritisiwant]+torrent", and ended up at torrentz.com, I made a desktop link of it in any case because it did look good.

So toppy again! lol
