For those new to bandAMP, the 'specimen' are featured members located near the top right of the home page. 
One day you may be featured to. I believe it changes every so often.

I really hope I dont become a specimen


With a more 'live' front page these random choices could come to mean more, make them more prominent, and changing more often
'other sites' have different featured artists every day ... and they make a feature of them.

Could also have a list of the '10 most listened too/voted for' songs on the front page.
That would bring them in  ...

LOL don't fall into compare specimen with freaks or monsters.
Our specimen are Special Artists who ARE featured by BandAMP at the special moment they appear on the frontpage... ...and read my ideas in my last reply here
