new camera, new pics |
Months ago I bought a HD vid-cam. Need to learn now how to deal with this new "space ship"- technology,
Now I tried to use it for making fotos. By now I did my fotoshots with my crappy camera of my handy (mobilephone) which allows a poor quality of 0,8 mpix.
The new cam has 3 mpix. Not a hi-tech value, but a giant difference.
Some of you may remember my old pics showing my equipment Iīve posted here.
Now I thought I could post some new pics, just to compare. Just for fun.
Every lil detail.....
.............is just ...........
...........an eye catcher.
Lekker strat..........(audible on "cruising-solo") Upppps.........greasy lens (this pic is from my handy)
bass workhorse fretless beauty
power gnome
rehearsal amp (oompf power station) monitors (oompf box)

The guitar is amazing though the lines in the design remind me of an infection that trees get ... lol and beautiful it is too.
Itīs spalted maple. A fungus makes this "texture", this look. If I remember right the bass (arch) is the same woods.
In the past this kind of wood was totally worthless for luthiers. Garbage. But for a couple of years more and more of such instruments flood the market. Musicians and instrument-builders discovered that those woods arenīt crap at all. They sound fine and look beautiful.
someone must have walked an unknown path....................in the past

really nice pics , mouth wathering gear
almost bought a Marantz myself, regretted i didnt, now i m stuck with Yamaha for a while..
Tnx, Max. mouth wathering lol. True. When I saw the gitti first time in the shop it knocked me off my feet. Salto backwards. "how may she sound ?? how may she feel ? Salto backwards.
Checked her out for 3 days in the shop (poor owner hihi) and then she was mine.
The day was 7.7.07 . Price 777,- . Is that crazy or is that mad, or what?
Thereīs nothing wrong with a decent Yamaha amp, Max. Although I like more Marantzī sound charceristic / philosophy. Its warmth, strength, power, clarity, souvereignity........................design.

sun, wood & abalone |
Yesterday evening some rays of sunlight fell through my window onto my "Ibi" which inspired me to make some close-up fotos .
Was fascinated by the interplay of sunlight, inlays and wood.
This way I discovered details I never noticed before.
Thought Iīd share...........
