My employer kindly pays for my mobile (cell) phone and recently upgaded to a 3G iPhone.
It's a great tool, not tried any of the recording apps yet, probably would not use them anyway, but have the following apps:
TomTom
Cleartune (Superb chromatic tuner)
Qik video pro
Snooker
Poolstar
Skype
SUPERB TECHNOLOGY

My sons got an iPhone.....he can pour beer, play darts, shoot people with an ak47, behead his class mates with a light saber and make beats.......
I like the 'level' app that comes with it, being a carpenter an all.

My dad just got one. Not sure what apps he uses but you can browse the web so that's really handy for starters.
I'll probably never get one since I got robbed last year and lost my 120gb iPod so I won't be carrying that kind of stuff with me any more.

If you do get another iPod/phone, perhaps get it insured, if you can, don't let buggers get you down.

errr btw an iphone is not water proofed. My sons iPhone fell in the water. All is funcioning execpt the display light. He googled through the forums. That's the most common failure if you like to wash up your mobile cell phone ichHandy.
