I have exercised my rights as a bandAmp Moderator and banned fais54.

I would like to see what this place will be like for a while without him.

That he's personally pissed me off...you bet.
That his presence and input have caused a lot of personal grief to other members.....I'm sorry I should have acted sooner.

That he continuously refused to show any understanding towards the fact that this amazing community that I love so much is already made of stars.
Stars who all shine together to make an amazing thing.....even when we argue !

You can vouch for him, vote for him, tell me that you miss him, whatever, in a pm or here

I concur with the decision to ban Mr Fais at this time. The community needs a break from the constant tension and drama and Mr Fais needs to realize limits and boundaries. He also needs to appreciate the privilege of being allowed to participate in this forum. The events that unfolded today, after considerable attention over the past few days (including multiple interventions, encouragement, suggestions, instruction, warnings, and so on) resulted in continued resistance against our attempts to impart some limits on his disruptive behavior. Furthermore he demonstrated an exaggerated sense of entitlement. Even when I was unaware that you had banned him, I was logging on to the site just now with the intentions of banning him (even though I'm at work today, I check in on the site occasionally and witnessed ongoing replication of the problems we had already addressed) - I deleted his thread which was turning into yet another flame-fest, sent him a warning pm to which he responded with an indignant protest. This convinced me that he's just not "getting it". Action is now indicated. I have no doubt at this point. So if you didn't ban him, I would have. Not out of anger, but out of knowledge that it was the right thing to do. Now, hopefully we can talk about something else other that Mr Fais for awhile.

I guess I took part in the process and probably let my feeling toward fais go a bit too far
I've never been argumental on bandamp before and I regret getting involve in silly arguments with a teenager I'm old enough to know better
That said we can now go back to the best thing on bandamp and that's making music

A now, let's go back, as Vincent says, to the best thing on the AMP and that's music and having fun as musicians.

I have to say I agree with Kings and BC...the rope was let out long enough and was way overdue to have it tightened up. The last thing I want to see when I'm here is drama. This isn't the place for it. So that being said. I get the funny feeling that fais use to be a member at one time under a different name. I can't remember the name. but, the same thing went on with that person. If I remember correctly, PX had to ban that guy. It just seems like Deja Vu

i think the guys name was Ultravoz

I don't think Ultravoz got banned... at least I never knew.
However, there was a member few years ago who freaked out everyone here and he did get banned.
I'm not really sure...
Anyways, let's just focus on the future now that the tranquility is re-established here.
