Incredible displays of singing
How about some legendary singing from the kings of rock 'n roll?

Led Zeppelin Unplugged in the Unledded tour, performing The Rain Song.

Whitesnake Unplugged In Tokyo, singing Soldier of Fortune by Deep Purple

Queen at their groundbreaking '86 concert at Wembley, with May and Mercury doing an unplugged duet of Love of My Life.

When Freddie orchestrates almost 100,000 people to sing, it sends shivers down my spine.  2:19.

Pick something preferably unplugged, undrugged and remember, it's all about the raw power of the voice.

Elton John singing a piano-only version of Tiny Dancer, circa 1971.

great videos!...I hardly recognized Coverdale. But I mostly want to comment on Elton John. I have spent most of my life not caring for Elton (I stopped liking his work around 1972 when he turned "Glam"). This video represents an era of Elton that I truly did admire and his performance here represents this. His singing is superb, his piano performance is (to me) flawless and this is pure performance without the pretense that I simply did not care for. Thanks for sharing this....

I completely agree with you about Elton.  This is, in my opinion, one of the premier performances on the piano. Edit: ...while singing.

Not much singing going on in the Zeppelin clip!! A-mazing guitar work though.
David Coverdale !! Wow ! Never seen him unplugged! That's one beautiful voice !
If it's about sheer power it's got to be our Freddy every time!!
The guy oozes it even when he's not even there !

What about Shirley Bassey with Yello in the Rhythm Devine, just listen !

And of course this is Tom the Voice with Jools the Fingers !!! , this is an excellent song !

Tom Jones? While I maintain that Delilah is one of the better songs in the world, he's not quite a king of rock 'n roll :P.

Oh...Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey...I gotta admit I'm a closet fan of both of those...what amazing voices...You can't beat them for sheer "otherworldy" vocal power.
