wakayama
Heading back down under day after 2moro it/s been a fantastic experience here in Japan.
last night gig was with Soul Banana a really impressive soul band , ace players and 3 female singers burning up the classics at Old Time Live House Wakayama,a pleasure to play to a full house.
Looking at the program for this month we realized we share the bill with the likes of Ron Carter trio plus a host of excellent local and international artists.
Once again back line supplied full rehearsal sound check ,sold some cds shot vid by pro news camera man plus given cd of desk recording at the end of the gig.
After the gig we were treated to a supper fit for a king in restaurant with the other band and friends.
Jem flew back yesterday , Yoko and self checking into mountain retreat onsen for some chill time , then head straight to Kansai .
Budget balance somewhat in the red but contacts from this trip lead to bigger time next up.
Keeping fingers crossed for John Lennon memorial concert in Saitama 8 dec hosted by Yoko Ono,stranger things have happened.
Also Okinawa Cowboys struck a chord here, many emotive and supportive comments from young and old alike ,as it:s ref to US base there ,assaults on Japanese teen girls, nukes parked in Japan, and a new  Government with the nerve to stand
up to an occupation wellpast it;s use by date truly is moving.

We:ll be back

On a different note we were invited `upstairs` by some ladies to another club , in truth it was like walking onto the set from a David Lynch movie, specifically ...blue velvet,
Yoko turned us around and steered us very politely outa there.....very surreal and as old rockers , we:ve seen some doozies
