ok so i was planning on getting a Fender Deluxe Players Strat for $630 from music123.com . I almost have enough saved up...(about $150 away), and guess what....EVERY SINGLE FREAKING MUSIC PLACE RAISED THEIR PRICES ON ALMOST EVERYTHING!!!

THE SAME PIECE OF CRAP IS NOW $800!!!!!!!!!!

I mean im not gonna pay an extra $170 for the same thing I could have gotten for $630. And I was SOOO close to having 630 dollars too.

how am i supposed to get a new guitar now?
the one i have is a Washburn X25 w/Floyd Rose bridge (a discontinued guitar) and I can get ANY tone out of it I want, but its a super pain to tune, to change strings, and to tune to different tunings.
Its built like a tank as well.

EDIT: There is tons of strat gear laying around, get up on ebay and look , also craiglist,  also check in with your local guitar shops . lots of times they have boxes of spare parts , they are just looking to get rid of cheap.
Guitarist are always upgrading pups (pick ups) and electronics, pick guards, necks, bridges ect. . parts are everywhere.

Denis: The washburn is worth about $500, but I really dont want to sell it...or any guitars or anything I get (unless they are really awful) because everyone seems to always regret it. Im just gonna hang onto it for now. Thanks though

DowntownSasquatch: musicians friend is the same price. ALL music vendors have increased their prices. I know of a place called Chicago Music Discount Outlet store around my house (in tucson, az not chicago lol), which I got my drumset from for only $600 when it would have been $1000, so maybe they have something there i can check.

I don't know about your location, but GC here in Independence MO, had a price drop this week on all of there fender guitars,  The best price I could get with employee's discout = GC cost + 10% was  $835.00. This week at guitar center, they are now $799.00 (still to high imho). So on with the guitar build.everything is coming along nicely.

guitar with the neck and bridge in place... everything lines up ok.
