We are 4 guys who is going to perform for your school. And we need a song to play. We don't have a singer. We are two guitarist who have been playing for about 6 moth (we are not THAT bad ) and a bassist who have been playing for 3 years and a drummer. We need to play a song without vocals. Do you know any good songs?

House of the Rising Sun' by the animals is a song, but you could do an instrumental version.
That's the first song I learnt on the guitar..lol about 38 years ago.

Or just pick a song you like with a good melody line

It really picks up and becomes a freaking awesome live song at around 3 mins into it

Just let it load. You can kind of mix it up and do your own version...like you dont have to use the wind blowing intro and everything.

i think itd be too hard for you guys to do live but ive never heard you play so i cant judge

Oh also, your gonna wanna play songs that everyone in the audience can enjoy.

If most of the people in the school hate country, dont play country...if you play something that people would find offensive...dont play anything offensive.

Your gonna wanna play what your audience wants to hear

It sounds simple...but when you play that live, the rush of the song takes you away.
I mean you don't want to do anything too hard, but you dont want to do anythign too easy.

Me and my band will be doing One of these days live pretty soon and I think that its simple enough that everyone can stay in time together, there is kind of a lead guitar, there is the rythm guitar, there is the bass, and drums.

Dont take on something too complicated...but dont do anything that you think would be boring for you

also i think one of these days would be easy to ad-lib in case one of you guys gets lost or forgets a note.

well heres what I would do...and since you guys have been only playing guitar for 6 months, I wouldnt take on somethng that would be too challenging...i mean it is live.

2. The Call of ktulu
3. Write your own song

ThenI would skip One of these days. And maybe workout on a song and if it doesnt work...Maybe The Call..
