I am really pushing the button (point) to see if it is possible for any song written this month (December 08) can even qualify for the battle it is entered for.............. or does it have to sit for months????????????picking up stray votes..........

Good luck with the Battle(s) Fish..I have giving up on entering anymore songs here on Bandamp..Although I will continue to rate/vote on each and every song that I listen to..Also, I'm going to go through my songs and probably begin to delete those too...I'm starting to think that my work isn't what people like anymore in this day and time....I'm going to post one last Christmas song though..I'm not looking for a vote of confidence or being asked not to do this...just stating what is going on with me on the Amp....

if everyone who agrees with rating, and wants to see the voting continue would vote, there would be enough to make a battle work...  I don't get it... You only need 15 votes...

  We already know there are more than 15 people who want this to continue...  And people who are in the battle can still vote... as long as they try to be honest...  and not vote low to get the other persons rating down..

I've got an idea, we could make it compulsory that not only have you got to make 3 posts
to every song upload, you also have to vote. I assume the vote system is still working???

Yes we also need to sell the idea, why vote a member could ask themselves.
We need to promote the winners more give them more recognition, recognition is the key.

Just thinking about the 'compulsory voting' suggestion ; The fear has always been that if the site has a system of compulsory voting that it would drive members away.
The likely hood is that having to review and vote on songs would make members stay because the site would be giving the right signals out, that it is serious about it's purpose.
