Hi ... to start with you've got to give us more than that ... do you mean beats in the audio playlist, beats in the pattern list, beats in the sample browser or beats in a vst instrument ?

I'm no expert, it's been a while since I've been on FL
I used to go to file and save as - It surly cannot be as easy as that though

Yes it might be that simple ...
Save the whole song.
But then the beats in the Audio playlist,  you put them there to start with ! 

If they came from FLs sample folders in FLs browser then you could check the address and find them on your hard drive.
Samples that are pre-set for an instrument will have to be exported if you want them as wave files in another program.
Exporting a sample or sound can be done by recording it with a different program or choosing export audio in the file drop down menu and only have that samples channel playing (mute the rest (little green button))
