You can stick 1's overall just to get the statistics up a bit but 11,000 members is a bit much !

Main Forum page at the bottom it states that there are 11.327 members , while if you click and go to the members page there are 30 pages each with 50 members names on them , meaning there are about 1,500 members.

(>11,000) = select count(*) from members
(>1500) = select count(*) from members where member has active posts

And I still find it difficult to believe that bandAmp has 11.000 members.  11.000    thats loads !

Hmmm well there's obviously people who won't come back(like the one's who've created an account and have just left it inactive.) Is there maybe a way they can get cleared out or something?

And if they want to seriously comeback they can just start a new account?

Not sure i understand the math used here, Tk?  Finding it hard to believe we have 11, 000 members... Even if we did have 11, 000 members in the database we all know that it isn't an accurate reflection of actual current membership..  I know this has been discussed before but we should consider a purge of inactive accounts beyond a certain time frame.. As good as 11, 000 members sound, i would prefer to have an idea of how many are active members...not one timers who stopped by to drop of a tune 5 years ago..

How can one define an active member?  ( > 3 songs?) (> 5000 posts?)
 

@TK .....OK! so there really are 11000 members !!! I just came as a bit of a shock considering the amount of real time activity on the amp in the last year. But then I suppose people who join and do nothing accumulate over the years.
Is it a problem with the database to have all those names in there ? if it is , clear them out ..... amount of posts in an amount of time or just amount of posts period.....like one post and your out.
But if it isn't a problem with the database leave them there, what the hell....it was really cool seeing members of 'music talk' pop up here with the same user names and passwords!
