just a question..
if a tab says 3s5 what do you do?? slide is 3/5 so i know it's not that.. i can't figure out what i'm supposed to do...

It's be a long time since I've looked at Tab. If I'm not mistaken..3/5 would mean pick the 3 and then pick it again and slide to the 5 where as 3s5 would be pick the 3 and just slide to the 5 and then pick it.. I might have it backwards and I might be talking out my ass! I'm sure someone will be around to answer this for you. Goat would be the man for this as I believe he writes tab.

It is, in my experiance, interchangable as there isn't a standard notation for tablature.  Like BasketCase said, It might be the diferance between picked and legato, but I doubt an internet tab is that sophisticated.

usually it's just some kid that doesn't know what he's doing, so it's most likely a pick-slide-pick.....and just to correct 'Dark', there is a standard notation for tab, and 3s5 is not one of them sorry. you just got a tab from an inexperienced tabber
