In the front... what do you think is the best place to play that, and how would you finger it?

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "best place" to play that, but the fingering I'd use would be: index for D string, ring for B string, and pinky pull-off to middle finger for high E string.

I agree with 'Avinashv' and you would play it where it says, at open, 2nd and 3rd frets
