Was That '91? |
I just celebrated my 33rd birthday last Monday...It might have something to do with this...
Was That '91?
Remember when we used to run after dark
acting stupid getting drunk at the park
No one around to tell us right from wrong
the radio playing our favorite songs
It Smells Like Teen Spirit,Vedder feels Alive
Jesus Christ Pose , Axl please Don't Cry
Hush now little baby dont say a word
serenade the world with drunken slur
Old man's sleeping grab the keys to the car
fill her up try our luck nudie bar
When they check IDs we'll all see the show
fulfilling our urges until we're asked to go
Heads out the window, the wind in our hair
sixteen years of living free of care
No one around to tell us right from wrong
the radio playing our favorite songs
When we were young
It was so much easier
Just to put our heads down
pretend nothings going on
Now that we've grown
We see things clearer now
Look you dead in those eyes
so our voices will be heard
guitar solo
Hangin at the mall livin at the arcade
cutting class getting high we had it made
No one around to tell us right from wrong
the radio playing our favorite songs
Teenage angst rebelling in every way
how I miss innocence to this day
No one around to tell us right from wrong
the radio playing our favorite songs
When we were young
It was so much easier
Just to put our heads down
pretend nothings going on x2
Now that we've grown
We see things clearer now
Look you dead in those eyes
so our voices will be heard

This is pretty good Jason...Your Lyrics are getting so much better. your writing skills are improving tremendously.
Nice work...I like a lot of the lines in this. And I like the story line you have..The way you change pace and move along is great. It doesn't get stuck in one place. I don't know if you get what I'm saying. But, I don't know any other way to phrase it.
