PIN CUSHIONS REVISED 3RD TIME
Pin Cushions

(verse 1)

When I was a girl
I knew a boy
Who was perfect
in every way
Loved by every one
Every day
Six years later
I come home to find
The boy had died
of bitter sadness
He couldn’t get rid of
So he took his own life

How could some one so perfect
Be gone in a day
And no one notice
The looks in his eyes
And not have the courage to say

(chorus)
I’ll love you no matter what
My love will never expire
My friendship is meant to lift you higher
I’m here to help you laugh and smile

(Underlying chorus)

(verse 2)
when I moved to the city
I knew a girl
Who wasn’t perfect
or very pretty
Nobody loved her
threw out her life
5 months later
She picked up the knife
I come home to home to find
The girl had died
of a loneliness
she couldn’t hide

How could we have let her
Feel so ashamed
Of being herself
And not do a thing
Or have the courage to say

(chorus)
I’ll love you no matter what
My love will never expire
My friendship is meant to lift you higher
I’m here to help you laugh and smile

(Underlying chorus)

(Bridge)
When i was in high school
I found the head cheerleader
Black and blue with a needle in her hand
Her eyes were red and face full of dread
For the life she had made
Was not the one she had wanted
So I looked at her and said

How could we have let you Live in a box
That’s been tied to the ground
Where you scream but we don’t hear a sound
Give me your hand and ill do all that I can
I don’t have much to offer
Only words that I can sing
With them comes the deepest of meanings

(Chorus)
I’ll love you no matter what
my love will never expire
my friendship is meant to lift you higher
I’m here to help you laugh and smile

(Underlying chorus)

YOU HAVE TO RECORD THIS! If I havent said it before Im saying it now!  Wonder what you were thinking when you wrote this?  Its very touching and quite honestly just changed my whole mood.  its always a shock when we see those around us, that we think are perfect, fall through the cracks....  It reminds me of a guy I knew in Highschool.   He had a beautiful girlfriend, made good grades...  I remember talking to him in 6th hour about the Mustang, him and his dad had rebuilt.  He showed me pictures of this beautiful car and I thought, this guy is so lucky, he has everything.  Im pretty sure I was one of the last people he talked to.  He went home that day and shot himself.  I never learned why.....  and Ive never forgotten the conversation we had...to talk to him you would have thought his life was perfect?  I cant imagine the pain he must have been hiding.  I wished I could've somehow known...somehow been able to reach out.  You've stirred some old memories with this one, Pap! Damn fine work!

this is a really emotional song... it paints this whole picture of what reality is underneath the perfectness.

i think you are really good at this, and i cant wait to hear the full song.
