Another big game of hide and seek you can't win, but thats life on the run.
ok this is a song for my bands first album!! I wrote this late one night watching DOG: the bounty hunter so anyway here goes!

Whats behind the oppen door
when you've got what you want you seem to want more
and everywhere you look, you look death in the eye
lately all you do is sit and cry
you've been gone too long for me to care
Now it's time to pay your taxi fare

Your lifes a big game of hide and seek
everywhere you look, and everywhere you peek
theres something new the seasons change
and everyone seems to know your name
but what do you do when your done
where do you hide where do you run

what happens now when all you know is gone
there going to find you the heat is on
nothing to do except run and hide
If you run in the waters you'll be caught by the tide
but you don't listen to me so why do I care
now its time to pay your taxi fare

Your lifes a big game of hide and seek
everywhere you look, and everywhere you peek
theres something new the seasons change
and everyone seems to know your name
but what do you do when your done
where do you hide where do you run

Now that you've read it let me explain one thing
the taxi fare thing is a little strange as my music
is but this is something i was thinking about...
life is preaty much a big taxi ride and sooner
or later you pay your fare, you have to take
responsibility for what you have done so...
I guess that somewhat explains it!!!!!!!!!

Strange that you mention Taxi Fare! I did find it 'odd' but pleasant! lol And I wanted to suggest 'Ferry Fare' to make it deeper , but Taxi Fare is cool!
I really like this though I don't quite follow the story, it is well written and I can really hear it as a song.
So how strange is your music?

Cant you call it : 'Another big game of hide and seek you can't win, but that's the life that you reap'  ?
'on the run' makes it sound dead ended!!?

well.. firstly yes ferry fair sounds cool
(dont know how that makes it deeper) and well
I guess we could change Im kinda nuetral but yes
we change the name to 'Another big game of hide and seek you can't win, but that's the life you reap'  (I took the that out)
but ya my band wants to do extremely long names
to be original I guess..... I dunno?

I forgot to answer your question on how my
music is strange. Well I guess its not my music
thats strange its that i wrote it I mean apon
seeing me you wouldn't think I am the kinda guy
that dreams of rocking out to 400,000 people
and laying down tracks in a recording studio
Its really kinda funny, all the looks i get from
people when i say something along the lines of
"Ugh, I cant think of something that ryhmes with
"add word here" " or something like that
and then when I say I have a, I'm in a band that is,
everyone is like yea right... So really my music
is taking me on a journey of "self discovery"
I guess you could say

awesome
this is a real original song and i know what you mean about music leading you on a journey of self dicovery. It has lead me many ways, dark ways, happy ways, but one thing it always lead to was me being who i wanted to be in that moment in my life....Love the song and I like taxi fare.

Hey SS, I personally like this song.  I don't think the taxi fare is lacking in depth.  I think it is a fresh and modern way of expressing that it is time to pay up, or be held accountable.  Gives it a very urban vibe. I might actually try to carry that vibe of a big city representing life into more of the song, because as I'm sure you know, one can live many "lives" if the city is large enough. You just move to another part of town and recreate yourself. (I lived in NYC for about 15 years, so I speak from experience).  Good work man!
