I wrote this in the space of a weekend, I'm still milling the song over in my head (your opinion is humbly welcome), I have a nice soft guitar riff to ring throughout, but I think it sounds better with a solid strumming filling it out.

There's one thing I'm unsure of, I think some lines may be a little too cliche, as in, if the song is aware of its own cliche's it becomes more ironic than serious.

Hope you enjoy!

I've got a one way ticket to a lonely planet,
And I think that I should go,
Because no-one here needs me and no-one here wants me,
I doubt they'd ever know,

Chorus:
And I'm all alone, and my heart's impaired,
I will never change the way you never cared,
And I'm all messed up and I'm out of place,
And I'll hide in the furthest corner of space,
In my heart,

Leave me all alone, in this barren land,
I'm kicking up a desert from the sand,
You will never need me and you will never want me,
But your heart doesn't follow plans,
You will never know me, you don't understand me,
You will never know,

I'm all alone,
My heart is a stone,
I am feeling so lost,
In the darkest coldest corner of space,
Chorus:
I'm all alone and my heart's impaired,
I will never change the way you never cared,
And I'm all messed up and I'm out of place,
And I'll hide in the furthest corner of space,
In my heart...
In my heart...

And my blood's pumping through my veins,
I'm still alive, I'm still alive,
And my heart's in pieces, but I'm still breathing,
I'm still alive...

Chorus:
I'm all alone and my heart's impaired,
I will never change the way you never cared,
And I'm all messed up and I'm out of place,
And I'll hide in the furthest corner of space,
In my heart...
In my heart...
In my heart...

A little info about the chord progressions, the verses are based from the main riff, clumped together in groups of three chords, the third sustaining to fill out the line, the chorus is a simple, popular/catchy rise and fall progression changing on the bar every bar, (I have noticed this progression in dozens of other songs, and so I have no shame in fitting it in here [however, I have based my progression around A minor, whereas I have recently noticed 2 songs based around B {don't sue me!}]).

Please post, the comments encourage me (don't encourage him! They say...)

Cheers
