What I feel makes a lyric stand out in a song is the wording. Phrasing, language, emotion. I can see this here, it's really good stuff. I would like to know, do you have instruments to play to this? By yourself, in a band? I can appreciate a good lyric, but I think it's important that the music does the words justice, you know what I mean.
