Bubblewrap Boy |
This is a half recorded song of mine, with just my voice and an accoustic guitar playing a powerchord progression. I'm having trouble thinking of more lyrics.
Go to college.
Do your best.
Wear clean socks.
Driving test.
Take a nap then start again.
3 wholesome meals and call a friend.
Bubblewrap boy, keep pretending.
Take her to a movie.
Take her shopping.
Take her to a restraunt.
It still means nothing.
Bubblewrap boy, keep pretending.
Go to college.
Do your best.
Wear clean socks.
Driving test.
Take a nap then start again.
3 wholesome meals and call a friend.
Bubblewrap boy, keep pretending.
Take her to a movie.
Take her shopping.
Take her to a restraunt.
It still means nothing.
Bubblewrap boy, keep pretending.

If you want help with lyrics, I think more direction to the overall mood/theme of the song is what I would need to help out, maybe a description of how it's going so far?
Otherwise, maybe it just needs time for you to discover on your own.
Like the concept of a "bubblewrap boy", potential for sure.

how nihilistic!
no further explanation needed. an obvious attack at the conformist masses.
to a good piece of music this short lyric is all you need: crystal clear and dead to the point.
I agree though that wearing clean socks (if any) is a good idea, though it still means nothing.
and I've been thinking about your question in the Pit about "where to start" with the demo thing - maybe you should try to get a copy of this book. Not only does it contain useful tips, it also shows you what kind of attitudes you are likely to encounter and have-to adopt... And it's an entertaining read anyway.
