phone calls and pick up lines
so yeah made this one out of bordem and worry my parents say that we need to have a "talk" so im waiting for them to get home and have a "talk" with me.. gah... so yeah came up woth this out of no where. i donno. there are to many creepy old men out there now adays. and to many "pimps" who think they got it. so yeah  lol

So sick
Of all the boys
Who think girls are only toys
Phone calls and pick up lines
What makes you think youíre convincible?

Hey baby what your sign?
Your eyes are blue and so are mine
What makes you think it will work this time?

Get a grip
Little boy just take a trip
Far away from me
No I donít want your digits
And why are you still here
Canít you see me fidget?

I donít want to eat
I donít want to see a film
I donít want to take a seat
I donít wanna I donít wanna I donít wanna!

Why donít you understand?
Iím not interested
Boy youíre swimming in dry land
Get lost now, your to bland
I donít wanna break your heart
But I will break your neck
Just leave me alone
Iím not so vulnerable
Im not at your call and beck
Get used to it

I donít want a repeat
I donít want to yell
I donít want to act sweet
I donít wanna I donít wanna I donít wanna!

And im not gonna
Im not gonna
Im not gonna
So get lost boy
Im not your toy
Im not playing coy
So get lost boy

I can see the message in here.
All that power and freedom stuff.
I just posted about 5 mins after this one, and it's following that same 'problems in socitey nowdays' theme, except instead of dating jerks it's about the music scene.
I like that kind of rebellious spark in a song.
Simple, straightforward, awesome!

Must agree with WB "I like that kind of rebellious spark in a song", so do I, it's what poetry and song are about, not only putting beauty in perspective (or a different perspective) but also the ugliness, and making us see ourselves.
Though you do create your own 'ugliness' : "But I will break your neck" !! lol

I would have swapped around :
'No I donít want your digits
And why are you still here
Canít you see me fidget?'
to :
No I donít want your digits
Canít you see me fidget?
And why are you still here.......?

You know personally if I would have though of "phone calls and pick up lines" I would based the whole piece around that idea. I like it a lot!
I don't see the reason in turning 'beck and call' around though. It sounds turned around for no reason!!

maybe it derives from an old american saying "call and beckoning".... and she just chopped off the "ing"...

But don't go changing things round willy-nilly you'll loose the rhyming pattern.
I didn't see the 'neck' 'beck' rhyme because it comes with the first lines of each set.
One advantage you have is that each line is a separate statement.
Maybe your not lazy PD, maybe you just need to be inspired?
