ended without a sad goodbye
messages and phone calls, no reply

let it go for a couple of weeks,
i cried myself to sleep.
 
this just isn't me

i waited to long trying not to notice
the silence that soon, served me well

all was quiet except the page turning
inside me raging hell

walking away never seemed as easy
as giving in, to, the pain

Well "The Wait" is over I finally posted a song!!!! It has been forever and I think my year of writers block is definitely coming to an end and fast, I have so much going on with this song.  It's based on real life, as are all my lyrics. Suggestions are welcome, however I am getting more comfortable with the way I write.

About the song:
Its about a person, who is just been in a long relationship that was over well before it was "over" sort of ended without any goodbyes, a clean break if you will, and it was for the best, and as weeks go by without contact, they find themselves in the silence of it all.

These are REALLY good   Its so good to see some new lyrics from you. I really enjoy them and they create a feeling of bittersweet sadness within me. Its very sad but at the same time happy. Wow. Good job.
Definitely looking forward to more.

I suppose if it is not yet set in stone or on dvd then it sounds right to you, I find the actual chorus a bit 'rambling', for use of a better word. Compared to the short bursts of the stanzas / verses ... which are very strong poetical and to the point.
