theres an angel watchin over you
i donno i got all odd and felt like writing something. its supposed to be a sort of pop-soul-jazz kinda thing i donno. the melody is supposed to be kinda slow (not to slow) and then skip a beat or two in spots so yeah i donno if you'll get a melody out of it but i got one in my head. i got kinda off track on the bridge and put what ever came to mind lol. so yeah. this is what i got. let me know what you think I'm open to suggestions and stuff as well. thanks

theres an Angel watchin over you

life aint a microwave
you don't get every thing quick
things dint come so easy
but never stop believing
if you just try and prey
laugh and take it with a smile
every thing will work out one day

theres an Angel watchin over you
theres some one out there
cheering for you
theres an angel praying for you
theres a dream coming true
waiting just for you

the worlds spinning-
faster and faster
spinning mostly on misery
children crying as their mothers lay dieing
absent fathers with out a blessing to sing
time means nothing unless
its measured in office hours-
suits and ties
big men with all the power
take your jobs and your offices
all your high tech things and tall towers
but you have to remember

theres an angel watchin over you
theres some one out there
cheering for you
theres an angel praying for you
theres a dream coming true
waiting just for you

theres an angel singing for you
theres some one out there
routing for you
theres an angel smiling for you
a blessing for you
waiting just for you.

Nice, this has lots of emotion, The music most definitely needs to be soulful, for some reason it makes me think of Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World but from a modern different angle.

I pushed these off the bottom of page one in the forum so I thought I'd leave a comment.
I couldn't get a melody but I liked the wording and the points you made. Especialy the political ones:D
I know what BasketCase means aswell. If Armstrong had been in slightly differant mood and in modern times, he may well have written a song similer to this. Maybe not but...you know,
good work man,

life ain't a microwave, right off the bat like that, it's funny and cute...
too me at least, it sets the mood for the rest of the piece...
but it shouldn't...
it's more profound than that... but i like the microwave analogy...
[i]spinnin' mostly on misery[/i ] ... great line...
