I agree fully with simon, and would have put more words to it a few night ago, but I couldn't be bothered, I must be picking up the vibe!

You see the point is, someone takes the time to read, think about and comment on your work, when you read that and think about it and then comment, it shows the commentator that you are serious about what you do and about what others think of your work.
The other side of this is that by thinking about what another has thought about while reading your work, you not only see your own work through different eyes, you will learn so much more about your self and your ways, which is what it is all about ultimately.
And the people commenting on your work kind of know this, certainly in a lyric forum, and it's a bit of a let down when it's all 'one way traffic'.
