I do like the way it's written but I just loose it on the underlying continuity of 'the story'.

what i am saying in this song, is that many people find it hard to sleep. so they'll find that they're awake at 1am and think, well i cant sleep, and i have to get up at this time!

i'm just trying to capture that feeling. and i am a night owl, so it just fits.
