One Song
Here's some words that I gave to Siren some time ago (Siren - you still out there?)

One song

It’s killing how you always knew
The silly things that I would do
It’s the line from me to you
That’s how I grew

You never used to make my day
Anticipating what I’d say
Then I’d say it anyway
A throwaway

And they’re wrong, when they say you’re gone
As long as I’m here, you’ll carry on
One day my own child will move it along
This never ends, this is one song

It’s not a case of letting go
Forgetting what I used to know
That won’t lift me from this low
Or ease the blow

And they’re wrong, when they say you’re gone
As long as I’m here, you’ll carry on
One day my own child will move it along
This never ends, this is one song

Like!
Yea makes sense
I like it
You've got it rolling and flowing fairly well.
I don't fully follow the story but then they are your words.
Like the 'this is one song' bit, it makes something deeply personal, universal.

Good
Personal lyrics that mean something to you, and might mean something different to each person. Enough cohesiveness to follow through from beginning to end. Ambiguous enough to let the reader (listener) relate to it on his/her own level. Could improve with just a word or two that gives it a more unique flavor, something more specific that doesn't limit the possible meanings. Dig?
