Morning Light
Started writing songs on my blackberry while on the bus to work. In the mood of Rainer Maria (since that's who i was listening to while writing it.)

***

Morning light, sweet melancholy -
What are we doing here?
We've been so many times before,
Awake; beneath closed eyes.

Chorus
I'm on my way out,
Oh, be my Charon,
We will burn out,
We won't fade.

Evening bright, bittersweet dream;
Why did you bring me here.
On the east bank of shallow rivers,
To glisten with each tide.

Blue skies, pretty starlight;
Why do you bother.
Day after day beyond today,
Illuminating just for me.

Chorus
I'm on my way out,
Oh, be my Charon,
We will burn out,
Oh, We won't fade.
