Black Sunset
In the distance there
Somewhere in the horizon
I wish I could just stare
And leave behind my liaisons
And since I’ve been with you
And seen you move
It seems everything is linked to

The black sunset
How could I forget?
The way it entices
And then solidifies
Your soul
Leaving you in pieces
That black sunset

Can you hear that?
In the wind there
Like a whisper
But flying through your hair
Not a care
In the world
Just linked to

The black sunset
How could I forget?
The way it entices
And then solidifies
Your soul
Leaving you in pieces
That black sunset

Darkness shrouding
All around me
Don’t know why I still try
I thought my eyes were dry
But I see that I want to cry
Like sorrow on the eyes
Something beautiful I despise
My little

Black sunset
How could I forget?
The way it entices
And then solidifies
Your soul
Leaving you in pieces
That black sunset

These are great lyrics!

It makes me want to know what happened in the relationship.... did it work out, or were your "liaisons" something that couldn't be left behind?  And what is the "something beautiful I despise"?

I like the way you link each of the verses back to the "black sunset".

One suggestion - 2nd line, use "on the horizon" instead of "in the horizon", IMO it makes more grammatical sense.  But these are really nice - if there's any music to them then I think it should be posted, just so we can all hear how you interpret the mood of the whole piece.

Thanks for the comment Jim, I agree! It would make more grammatical sense but what I had imagined was something sat on the horizon like n eyesore always taunting me.
