Radio Attic
At one time, I believe 2004, I went on in creating this project called Radio Attic.

They were electro+guitar noise oriented, really loud, really overly distorted tunes.

I've tried to keep the lyrics very short and minimalist, still attempting to communicate some kind of message though. Anyways, whatever you think of it, just posting them here because I think they're worth viewing I guess. As they seem to work for me, not sure if they work for anybody else, anyways I guess it's possible to do 1-short-verse lyrics and still manage to say something? Whatever...

HEADZONE

headzone
hurting like sirens
flying like angels
living like animals

FREAK ATTACK

weapons armed
belly shot aim
to make suffer
to make pay
there is a freak attack today

WORN

I wish I could be with you
I wish you could be with me
to hold hands together
but the mirror is tainted
and your dress is worn

DERANGER (HEADZONE REMIX)

headzone
the sun and stars and burn
headzone
the long and filthy road
headzone
the long warm gun
the long warm gun
backbone twitching
backbone twitching
headzone deranger

DECOY (I had never heard of the Mothman prophecies when I wrote this btw!)

the moth is flapping
the bat is snapping teeth
cunning sonar
(edgy edgy edgy, pal!)
meet the ghastly mystery
meet the mystery

AESTHETIC (my personal favourite)

street tough on the feet
shining burning
earth's star yearning
to get dirty
get down these
streets tough on the feet
summer clothes a headrush
long legs skin and curves
street tough on the feet

THE VAULT

second suite
halfway through the looking glass
you are truly the purest diamond
take the sword the book the gold
it's yours

DERAILER

like a train going on
pounding metal heavy weight
ever faster moving on
down the tunnel
never end

Pretty minimalist lyrics, but I downloaded a couple of the tracks that they go with, and they were all that was needed really.

My favorite is "Derailer".  I think it conjures an image of life being like an an out of control lump of metal hurtling along a track to a climactic ending.

This is a pretty cool idea. I downloaded Headzone bc I thought that song I didn't really understand the lyrics. It's pretty cool, heavily distorted...maybe an understatement But it's really cool, It has a really good progression. Nice rhythms at 3:07. Kind of has an Indian eastern feel (the guitar, that is). I didn't care for the record stratching at the very end.
As far as the rest of the lyrics, they are good. I don't really know how to describe your style of writing. But I like it, it's vague but has a raw point that is clear when you want it to be.
BTW, Mothman Prophecies is one of my favorite movies. You know the story of that bridge is true (not sure about the characters as well) but they still don't know why that bridge failed in the way it did. SO I was a little disappointed to not find a demo.
You really should try to send in your stuff for movie background noise.

Well thanks, I know it's kinda electro noise, hence the "scratching" as you put it - actually caused by sweeping delay times back and forth rapidly. I guess I needed some kind of ending, and the same effect occurs a number of times during the tune itself.

about the moth man - well especially as a kid, encountering moths (especially indoors) caused panic reactions with me, and I never understood why. untill I heard about the movie, and when I saw it I felt kind of relieved in the fact that it somehow justified my panic disorder to those creatures.

but these lyrics were from before I knew about the movie, which makes it kinda extra eery...

Well...irrational fears are kind of eery in that way. Myself, I'm afraid of heights no reason for it, I never fell from a long distance. My older brother is too, probably more than me, so maybe it's inherited.
