song i wrote about life
so sit down next to me, whats on your mind
no need to hurry, we got the time
the world keeps spinning, you can slow down
just take a second, to look around
you wont get answers, so don't ask questions
just sit back relax and have a brew
and ill have one too

and we can both be in our element
reminisce over times we once spent
and the night is growing thin but its okay

cause everything i need is here
close friends a guitar and a thirty of beer
and the world aint perfect no, but life is good

nothing to be lost, everything to be gained
it was sunny on my block, though the news said it rained
sit down right beside me, all's alright
it was a good day today, but its bound to be a better night
theres nothing ahead, but sunday morning
so sit back relax and have a brew
and ill have one too

and maybe all we need is to just take our time on the earth
and maybe we should all slow down, and just think about
whats the point and who you're bringin down
when you make your way in life
and you can never tell whats right
till you realize,
that running in circles is no way to live your life

sounds great. pretty straight forward, which is good, coz like you said, running in circles is no way to live your life!

a pretty nice description of a night spent with friends with no weirdness going on and no obligations whatsoever, just talking about life and things and stuff without having to be smartass all the time... relaxation...

pretty much all there is to say about it, atleast from where I sit...

Very catchy. You should make one of the verses a chorus tho.

cool straightforward lyrics...yet they are poetic too!

I imagine it to be just a very nice flowing lazy song, melodious.

@ Aetherius: Yeah, almost The-Fray-ish, huh? Very cool.

I love it cause I wrote a song just like it :D
Sounds likie me and my mates on a good night.
Minus the guitar, cause a few ofd my mates don't apreciate my playing....
Seriously though, I'd make it a bit longer but that's more personal preferance than anything else.

I enjoyed reading this,
up until the last verse,
I find the last verse doesn't flow with the rest of the song,
It jumps from 'being there', 'by the fire', 'have another one', 'this is goot ja!' to telling me what to do with my life. YKWIM!
Not only dose it come from a 'different corner' it also seams to have a different 'flow'

As I said I enjoyed reading this song but the last verse kind of knocked me off a bit.
