About.com has a good little BB King artical that started me on my way. I apply those methods to anywhere on the fretboard.

I also have some walking basslines and such that I frequently practice and play though. But you kind of have to know quite a few chords to pick them up quickly...

Chords Like:
-x-----x----x----x--
-10----8----6----8--
-9-----8----7----7--
-8-----8----8----7--
-x-----x----8----8--
-8-----8----x----x--

As you can see, they are movible forms which allow you to cromotitize (is that a word) between them. Applying a swing rhythm makes me happy.

Oh, trust me, it will. You'll learn to phrase and bend effectively. Most people will think that you worked really hard for years to be able to pul it off. Then again... I learned it on my accoustic. (Grimzace at the one and a half step bend)
