Format Converter
Does anyone know of a song format converter, as the only format i can get my songs in is mp2, which as i have find out will not work on this site
I tried using the kristal audio deely here but it didn't work.

try waveNET mp3 - i think i got it off of www.tudogs.com, www.tucows.com or www.download.com (those are the 3 i normally use).

its a free (and totally legal) download with no limitations (at least none that ive found so far!)

You can use Audacity wich is a freeware wave editor allow you to save in many format .

the problem with audacity is that it doesn't come "out of the box" and ready to handle mp3s

i can' explain it if someone needs help and wants audacity to do mp3s for them.  just post here or pm me or something.

Yeah thanx TonightsLastSong, you're right and it's cool to do the explanation job about it.
If it's just to encode some mp3 so you can use lame or winlame encoder wich is also required to save mp3 format with audacity .

CDex is an easy to use program which will allow you to convert files from one format to another... it comes with the LAME engine as well as many others

it's also open source and free

O.k. I finally got round to recording a song, and i've put in on audacity, but i have no idea how to convert it to an MP3. Please help, would be greatly appreciated!

go to post number 3 of THIS thread.  you'll have to skip past some of the beginning of that particular post if you've already gotten audacity installed, but go ahead and skim through so that you don't miss anything
