good deals thread.
constant quest looking for little gems for the recording studio.

If you come across some please post them up.

here are two nice little additions to any home studio

Warm Audio WA12 preamp sells for around $450.00. Great price,  and sounds like preamps in the $1000.00 range.
this preamp adds some nice color to vocals and guitars.  excellent quality and sound

The Studio Projects T3  tube condenser mic.  slightly hyped top end , but still very smooth. most cheaper tube mics aren't worth the money.. you'd be better off just buying another condenser .. this one rivals mics  in the  $1-3000.00 range  very clean , very nice mic.

Neve EQ clone
This EQ is supposed to be an exact clone of one of the Neve EQ plugins at a fraction of the price £39

I was watching an introductory video on a Neve eq bundle package and how they prefered different eq's to different sounds, instruments and vocals. The above link is for just one of them.
You can demo the ddmf version, the highs are sweet, you can boost them without it sounding shrill.
I don't actually use it myself, although I'm on the search for a bundle bargain, shame the Neve is so expensive - you never know they may offer a bargain in the future.
I currently use Nomad Factory plugins for EQ and compression,
Studio Channel http://www.nomadfactory.com/products/asp/index.html
They have a nice vintage sound, pretty nice, but when you boost the upper mids and highs over a certain amount the sound is false if that makes sense.
ddmf do a bundle package, but I've not seen any reviews on it - again it's cheap.

I tried the demo version of the DDMF 6144, on female country vox.  dialed the vox in very quickly ..like it so well I'm going to purchase it.. it's cheap enough.

I've been using the UA stuff.. but it's not cheap.

Thanks for the link.....
what I'm trying to do with this thread, bring the great deals into one place.
know of a cheap/free plug-in, or mic, or preamp, or interface, or monitors, or headphones, or whatever a songwriter/recording enthusiast might like/need to have.
