Well, I've decided on the ultimate goal;
I've become determined to assemble my own bass.
Ok. So I've got the neck and body stuff pretty much figured out.
However, I can't find any info. on wiring pickups, and I haven't got a clue on how to do it. I've searched 20 pages of Google results and all I can find is people who want to sell me pickups.

Does any one know? Or know a site that explains?
Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. I'm a beginner at this.

Oh yeah, also; what exactly is the difference between active electronics, and, um...normal kinds, and which is better?

Oh yeah again, I'm looking for a five-string fretless left-handed bass neck. I know, an unusual order, but if you happen to see one somewhere, please drop a line.

wow is that cool or what........making your own bass guitar. too bad i can't help you out......me illiterate in this matter. all i can say........is good luck.
