HAMMOND E100 series
I was recently given a Hammond E100 series just because I am a keyboarder. Isnt that nice?
My car isn't in the garage now.
The organ is bit rusty and dusty but I think it works fine whe the winter is over

And you do know what to do with it ...
Do you want mine too?
Beautiful machines

You have to upload something you've done on it... I bet you can get the most amazing sounds out of it.

Step #1
First review:

I can switch on
Power lamp is on
Check of tubes => glowing is normal
Motor of tone generator is stuck
=> after turning by hand it slowly begins to work.
=> NOT DAMAGED (puuh)

The main work now is on the tone generator:
It has no oil and the suspension is resinified (right word?). Hammond oil is very expensive + shipping (100ml ~ $8) so I decided to do some researches in the internet and found a cheap mechanic oil in Germany with the same behaviour like the Hammond original oil. It costs about € 3,- for 100ml. I ordered it yesterday and await delivery now

I've made some pics and will update this thread from time to time like a diary

Result: CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!

It's ridiculous to me that you people live in places where you just get handed beauties like this.

Can't wait to hear you record some beautiful hammond growl on this.

Motor of the TWG (tone wheel generator)
This is the heart of the beast. Born in 1968...

You can see the little oil cups on each end of the motor. The cups will have little spring loaded caps covering them.

Today I received the oil and some special cleaning and contact spray

WOW TK! This must be a dream come true for you! And recently Kings ran into a Hammond too... I wonder if I may be so lucky!

Have fun patching it up! And yeah let's hear it when it's ready!

almost 24 hours gone... Motor is running fine now, but TWG is groaning and moaning and screeching and not all keys make the proper note. Guess I must unmount the TWG and check every single tone wheel and its suspension

did clean the contacts in the sockets of the tubes. This fixed the scratching on the lower manual.

The TWG starts quietly now but after 5 secs it begins to screech again. Gave it some extra oil. And again wait a few days until oil is in every "crack"
