I can't stand the sound of our electric guitars directly plugged into the mixer.
And I found a possible solution for all guitar player who have the same problem. A DI-Box by Behringer. It's an active guitar box and has a 4x 12" cabinet emulation. 9V battery which is turned off by using phantom power 15-52V and a GND lift.

Anyone with experiences on those DI gear?

I phoned up my local store and spoke with the guitar guy, who recommended 'Line6', so I bought it, think I paid about £90 for it. I think it's great.

Others swear by Boss

I think either make is pretty good.

Behringer gear is good value for money if you are on a tight budget.
