oh yea, fav.... |
well my actual fav is a toss up between a
1949 - 52 ES-5 SwitchMaster, a 61 or
re-issue Tal Farlow, 1958 LP Custom
Black Beauty Fretless Wonder or a 1959
EDS-1275 semi-hollow body Double Neck
(less then 50 made, test run) All Gibsons..
now you get into acoustics well that's a bird
of a different feather... I will always love the
Gibson S style and U style archtop harp guitar.
12 strings.. several different ones out there..
archtops.. I love little parlor to the size just bigger
archtops...
not sure yet, it's significance, but Orville Gibson
started out his career as a luthier by making a
mandolin with the star inside the crescent moon
on the heastocks.. he named the mandolins after
his daughter.

Id say a 56 gold top just cause of the Allman Brothers. I prefer P90s too. And plus I like a 50s neck.
PAF 90's - 50's style V neck...plu |
plus, the fact that I'm a pianist, I do like a
2 x4 with strings.. strats and tele's are just
way to fast for my fat fingers!! but hey, I
got my very first strat night before last...
and getting my second in the morning when
I get out of the doctor's office... plus I just might
be trading one of the old amps for two more
tomorrow evening... it's a peavey classic 212
240 watt tube amp... the one with the built in
phase shifter... still gonna keep both the peavey
stereo chorus amps...I have the classic 212 tube
stereo chours at 240 watts and i have a stereo
chorus 400... since that first time of using an a-b
switcher between both amps, then pre-amp'ing them
out each channel to kb-300's, I fell deeply in amp lust!!
that combo stack when in stereo chorus mode, sounds
like a leslie on steriods!!!!! talk about ballszie!!! the kb-300's
give's it all a bottom end that just gives and gives and gives..
Hey, Marino?!?!? I have both the epiphone goth's... the
lp and the sg.. brother and sister.. why don't we work something
out with the Gibson SG and I could then put both brother
and sister gibsons together... lp and sg??? hey, wanna talk about
it some??!!??
Peace and Blessings,
Bluey
