well my login today was really fast

Has the site been down again?

Let's see: site-wide cookies are broken, the chat system is down altogether, new post notifications---both visual and email---aren't working, and the site seems sluggish overall.

Man there's some mayor Issues from my end:
 Is was hard to sign in(TX... MAP) and since I've been in I can sign out,
and also it still ask me to sign when is showing that I'm  already in.
Weird!
 

I wasn't attacking you or anybody.  I love this community as much as anyone here, and I want a place to go if this place dies.  Believe me, if I had more free time I would write a clone of this in a heartbeat as a rally point for when this place shuts down.  I don't, sadly, and life is such.  Of course I sympathize about the work the coders for this site have put it, but really, there's no contact between the administration and the people.  Last time I moved a conversation in this general direction, the moderators reacted surprisingly harshly, so I'm going to close by saying I'm not pointing fingers, nor am I upset.  I'd just love to know what is going to happen here.

I just moved bandamp to its own dedicated server. It wasn't as graceful as it could've been, but come on, it's the weekend. There may be a few quirks, let me know. The last three were just permissions errors (easy fixes).

Bandamp is as alive as ever, we're opening up the source code, funding the server, and allowing a few respectable bandamp members to become active developers.

Got no issues with the way the site is working.  Speedy, clean, easy login.... what is everyone going on about!! lol

Downchuck - keep up the good work.  I'm sure the improvements will be up and running, and accessible to all very soon.

I really like the fact that I don't have to log in so bloody often now !!!

Notice how Downchuck's reply is two posts AFTER mine, even though I had quoted him.  I'd say that's a problem.

Not saying there aren't any probs on the site Avi, but it's being sorted... finally.  For me, any action on here by a programmer is a positive move; after all, not so long ago we all thought that the site was chucking out a cyberspace death rattle!

confirmed that the bug avinashv talked about (my post came after his reply) was just temporary.  there was a difference in server times -- the new server not having the right time set on it.

looking out for a few more bugs. focusing on voting.
