Hey everybody. I guess downloading music for free on the internet is legal again - unless it's not

Check it out here:

If it's copyrighted material then no, it's not legal and never was. Not even a little bit legal. Like, ILLEGAL.

Ever heard of Limewire?
Same thing. Perfectly legal software, that can be used effortlessly for illegal purposes.

I do limewire too, but I also purchase music off www.allofmp3.com - it's questionable whether it's legal or not, since it uses a perversion of the Russian radio broadcast law - but it's clearly not radio is it.... Anyway the artists DO get paid, just not as much as they would if you buy the same mp3 off itunes - it'll come with copy restrictions then but it won't when to pluck em off allofmp3.com. Ha!

I use Ruckus.  Free, legal music downloads for students with a .edu email address.  It is WMA and DRM'd, so getting rid of that isn't technically legal, so I'll stop there.
