Community radio needs support
As you know, community radio exists so that people can listen to music they may not hear on commercial radio. Another thing you may know is that community radio stations are mostly not-for-profit organisations and very rarely have corporate funding therefore they rely on sponsorship, subscriptions and community support. PBS FM 106.7 is a community radio station based in Melbourne, Australia and we would really appreciate your involvement.

Please support PBS FM by going to our website pbsfm.org.au.

Become a member of the site, free of charge to gain access to a number of useful features, and to be in to win giveaways like CDs, DVDs, gig tickets etc. You can also subscribe to the PBS newsletter to keep up-to-date with PBS and music news.

There are a number of awesome shows on PBS 106.7FM devoted to what you want. Not even sure if you still even own a radio? Don’t live in Melbourne? Don’t fear, the wonders of modern technology allow you to stream PBS 106.7FM live, wherever you may be. Click here to go to the Webcast.

It is our hope that PBS is a joyous, adventurous and educational experience that turns you on to music that's eternally cool, and provides real alternative to manufactured notions of what's "hip" in the increasingly corporate musical mainstream Finally, you can help PBS FM and the community by spreading the word. Help save your friends from a world of high repetition commercial radio and introduce them to a true alternative. They will discover a music scene they never new existed.

Check out the PBS Myspace HQ www.myspace.com/pbsfm. For more information go to http://pbsfm.org.au/ or send us an email at info@pbsfm.org.au.

Perhaps since you are requesting support from bandampers, your pbs station could consider playing some of our best bandamp songs!  That may be a way for you to drum up more support!    Check out the bandamp "Hall of Fame"http://browse.bandamp.com/hall_of_fame.html to see our battle winners, and have a listen through the archive  http://browse.bandamp.com/archive.html.  I'm sure you'll find some great and interesting music that your audiences are sure to enjoy!

Radio Festival
Just letting you know there is still a week left of PBS’s Radio Festival…Radio festival happens once a year at PBS FM. It is two weeks of the year that we ask you to dig deep and support the station. You don't even need to live in Melbourne to become a member.

PBS FM gets no support from the government or any major organisation. We are independent, totally non-commercial and we only manage to stay alive thanks to listeners who are passionate about what we do becoming members. It costs PBS FM over $12 000 dollars to stay on air each week, that's a load of money! Without your hard-earned dollars there is no PBS. This Radio Festival please help keep PBS on-air by taking out a membership or making a small donation. You can read more about becoming a member here

I have been volunteering for PBS FM for a while now but only just became a member last night (I’m under 25 so it was only $25 for a year so I thought why not..). I’m pretty stoked because I got to pick 2 CDs of my choice, I got a discounter booklet, I’m in the draw to win a car (I really need one of those things) and….by supporting such a cause..I am attempting to even the score with some higher power, hopefully to rid myself of the bad luck I’m plagued by.

Thank you for your ongoing support, we really do appreciate any help you can offer.
Sarah KD!
P.s. The PBS website wants some love too - pbsfm.org.au.

And agaaaaain
Hello, it’s Sarah Kate from PBS 106.7FM here (again..) to encourage you all to awaken the humanitarian that lives inside by signing up to our online newsletter and becoming a member of our site. So far we’ve had an outstanding response from you awesome forum-goers in the way of website hits but we still need more people to get involved in our community radio station based in Melbourne. Believe me, there’s something in it for you (aka free stuff). It would make a world of difference and mean the world to us if you could take some time out to sign up to our newsletter
and become a member of the site, free of charge. It really doesn’t hurt to help a brother out.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sarah K xo
