Nice bluesy song using the lydian mode with a flatted seven.

Everything I do is on FL Studio, no instruments played live unless I state otherwise. It sounds weird, I think, because it's three measures of 4/4 played against a blues bass, in other words 12/8.

The song is interesting, not something i would listen to.  But it's very great other than that

If anyone is particularly partial of this mode, you should check out Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Birds of Fire"; there's a song on there with the same mode.

i think you refer specifically to the "Lydian Dominant" mode... a well documented (fourth) mode of the minor-major scale...

doesn't do much for me... there's no tension, there's no resolution... just a weird sing-songy diminished style suspension effect...

RAISED UNDER TITAN
TRULLY IMPRESSIVE...I LOVE THE BOUNCY GUITAR.  THE SOUND IS FRESH, I LIKE THAT.  I'M A LEO KOTTKE ENTHUSIAST, AND IT MADE ME THINK OF HOW PERSONAL YOU MADE YOUR WORK, AS MR. KOTTKE DOES.  AND THE DRUMS WERE SMOOTH.  VERY TASTEFULL.  I'D PAY TO SEE YOU...THANKYOU

The main idea is good, I like the rhythmic pattern.
Although it sounds too mathematical which brings a lack of feeling and sense.
You seem to move quite comfortably in odd scales like the lydian mode, and it's a compliment.

Isn't that the one the same as Mixolydian but with a raised fourth?

Anyway, I think the track is interesting, always good to see someone try something unusual. Particularly I like the drums. I look forward to hearing more
