A short instrument with a melody I came up with and a solo that starts off promising and peters out a bit in the latter half. I may improve on it in the future. But for now, this is just a taster of the current state of Sole Brick.
The main chorus line is bit boring after 12 bars, esp. after 2 minutes. And I am still waiting that my ears will be rescued, since you are playing everything in the 4th with the same guitar sound.
So... I would....
...leave the line as it is, but...
...make a verse that brings you back to the 1st to open up for story to tell
...choose another guitar sound for a melody.
This track has no story, no beginning, no action, no happy-end.
But it's up to you to make a complete song out of it.

Yes it needs work, but there are ideas to work with. So its all about the work you put into it.
I liked most of the guitar parts, bur it gets a bit repetitive and off now and then, not to say boring, especially with the simple drum beat..
So get to work mate!
I like it though.

Your recording sounds like its behind a wall....
Fish
how are you recording?
Transferring to MP3 ?
Music is Great
but track (not the music) sounds dreadful
Fish
Thanks Fish.
The thing is I'm not hearing the "behind a wall" sound. It must be my headphones or what I used to. I'm using Presonus Artist DAW.
I must admit though, I'm nowhere near knowing exactly how to get the best out of it. I really need to do a course in sound production. I've started with some videos from Presonus specifically for this software and I'll looking at Recording Revolution which has a lot of good stuff.
Glad you liked the music. More work to do....

I know what you mean about the repetition. This really was something that I knocked together rather quickly. I just liked the melody.
I only use prerecorded drum tracks as I haven't worked out how to create to my own yet with my DAW. Still a lot of work to do to get my sound anywhere near how i want it...
But glad you liked it.
