Strawberries and Honey
*

This song is not in a battle

I  got the inspiration from the flavour on a bottle of kefir in the fridge but it worked. Here's a very fresh one, just wrote it in the last hour. Any comments welcome, thanks for listening.

She brings me,
Strawberries and honey
Juniper and tulips in bloom
Champagne and oysters
Fresh garlands of wildflowers and sweet perfume

But it, always takes me by surprise
That I should know her at all
Strawberries and honey and roses that's all

I bring her,
Sweet tea and oranges
Soft music and rose gold diamond rings
Fresh cheese and hot black coffee
Kind words and gentle winds

But it, always takes her by surprise
That she should know me at all
Strawberries and honey and roses that's all

And when asked,
How do we pray to that great maker above?
With strawberries and honey and roses and love, love, love

I love the simplicity of it all - It has Charm.
The timing is a bit all over the place - I think it might flow better at a slightly faster tempo.
Next time try singing closer to the mic to create more intimacy, and try to set up your mic surrounded by things that will reduce any ambience to create ultimate intimacy. I've sung in a closet a few times, parting my clothes between the mic and putting say like a cloth jacket in between the parting behind it, or you you can use a towel.
