Yes it is minimalistic and simple, it remains beautiful all the way through.
Got me thinking of EducatedGuess he has this slow moody style but he also has clear recordings, check it out.

I like the vibe - Nothing wrong with keeping it simple - look at Mozart - He's my fav classical composer!
If you work on the arrangement a little so there are more high and lows it would make it more interesting.  Just like the part at around 2.08 mins, where you step it up, this could indeed be a chorus.

Melancholy, especially how the recording has this 60s hippy quality. Oversaturated colours on ancient 8mm family footage. Without sound or words so you'd edit a track like this in... Yeah, I would.

Could be that I caught the flue but I'd like to hear your voice mixed some louder and clear... If it's my ears deceiving me right now i'm apologizing deeply. I like the intimacy of the song...great vocal play together
