Here I Am |
The lyrics were written by an ex-girlfriend and she wanted some music put to them. So I obliged. It's only guitar and vocals, 2 tracks for each. It's a slow start but it builds.

Good song, with a full arrangement, this would be really powerful. It will be really worth it investing time/energy/equipment to get this done properly.
Great start, so to speak!

Thanks vokoinc,
I wrote and recorded it a few years ago now. It needs a full arrangement and better production which I'm sure I'll get around to at some point.

Nice. I like the acoustic plucking. sounds like Gilmour on acoustic Floyd stuff. The Lyrics flow well too.
Cheers Plextonic! Appreciate the Floyd comparison. Not looked at it that way.

You're absolutely spot on Mr Swordfish. I recorded this very basic. It was in my early days of using Magix Music Maker. Hadn't looked at drums or bass or anything else. Just wanted to get the basic song done and out. I've been working a bit more on getting a full sound. This one hasn't had any further attention since I first recorded it. But saying that, I could still do with help in getting a really good production sound. If listen to my other stuff (particularly "High"), that was probably the best I've gotten so far in terms of a better sound. But I know there is a long way to go. I still use Magix Music Maker 16 and have Samplitude 17 (which I still trying to get to grips with). Any suggestions?
Great song - the hook is infectious.
I can help you to improve your recording quality. Tell us what gear you have and what you are putting it though first, so that we can get the the best out of what you have without having to spend any money.
As for adding more instruments, you can try and get someone to collaborate with you - there are normally a few here on the AMP who would take part.
Yeah that hook is great

I like this. imho you should redo this one. It's well worth the effort to get a great recording of it.
