Hold Me Closer

This song is not in a battle

This is one of those songs you write in the middle of the night, with the acoustic and the lights out. And later you just have to flesh it out.

I intended the quiet parts to be quiet, to create that sense of intimacy. Would like to know if it works.
Thanks

You didnt hit any vocal note. But the record hits the song's chansonette mood. Nice track. Worth it to listen to ir a second time. Thanks for uploading

Has a mysterous feel - I Like the mood.

Also like the bass work - Drums not bad, perhaps create some ambiance with it and try a rim shot in the verse.
The quite parts work, but they are just a wee to quite IMO.
Have another go at the vocals, I'm sure if you practice for a few days you can make the notes smoother, you could try practising singing long notes and see how steady and even you can make them - it's just a gut instinct idea.

Nice mood, nice progression My suggestions are to improve the vocals, pitch clarity, steadiness (I have a lot of problems with that too). The quiet parts are my favourite parts but the volume contrast is too big for me.
