Can anyone help me out with a vocal melody?

I'm not sure if anyone else here played Chrono Trigger, but the guitar really reminded me of Gato's theme while he's singing karaoke in the fairgrounds.  Not to say that it sounded similar to it, but it definitely made me think of that particular scene!



I'd love to help out with the vocals, but I'd just butcher it lol The music is sounding great though!

This is nice. To get a vocal melody going, start with the root note of the song (so if you're in A major then start on A). Play it on a keyboard if you're not comfortable singing it straight away then just play around from there! There's no big secret to writing a good vocal melody (well... repetition but not too much of it will make it catchy)... you have to keep playing and eventually you'll find something you like.
