Feeling hot blues |
Was 36-37 C (that's around 97 F) last days over here and everything was melting, including me, clothes, car, house, cat.. ... so I got me a slide, Open D geetar and laid this down very loosely based on my remote memory of Ry Cooder's Feelin' Bad Blues...
Listening instructions - get yourself on the porch with your favorite ice cold drink (unless it is -20 where you live ) and crank it... or even better - play your own one

Like it.
Wish I´d melt away due to the heat. Here in germany we have quite a bad, cold and rainy summer (18-20°C). Perhaps I´ll play a "shivering blues".. haha
Very "louisiana-ish". Very sweltry atmosphere. Warms me up a bit.
Sounds a tad distorted, like clipping when recording. Was it inteded?

Thanks for the listening and good words.
Uli there's no clipping in the recording, purely tube amp dynamics, telecaster, slight breakup, metal slide used, that counts for the raw sound and what probably sounds like clipping. I pushed it a bit with a limiter on the master as well.
